The home of an Iranian Christian refugee couple was burned down in Turkey

FCNN reporter writing from Istanbul informs that on 29th December 2007, during the Christmas celebrations by the small Iranian Christian community in Turkey, The home of an Iranian Christian couple (M & A) who are living as refugees in a city in the close proximity ofAnkara caught fire for as yet unknown reasons
The Turkish police have said that the fire was due to faulty electric heather
The reporter says that the Turkish newspapers have written extensively on the incident and have printed photos of the house before and after the fire and have deliberately pointed to the cross in the house and have asked weather the fire was really because of a faulty heater or there could be other reasons? The papers have refrained passing any comments who could be the real culprits behind the tragic accident
The reporter says that the Turkish police have stated that the Iranian Christian couple have been distributing New Testament and Christian pamphlets and for these reasons has summoned them for further investigation

With increased interest of the Turkish Moslem population to radical Islamic groups, FCNN regrettably witnesses increased persecution of the Iranian Christian refugees in Turkey in the recent years
